We’re feeling the love, just in time for Valentine’s Day! Sweet Peas Design has won an AABE award in the Small Size Employer category from the Daily Herald’s Business Ledger, and we are so thrilled.
In their 26th year, the Annual Awards for Business Excellence – known affectionately as the ABBEYS – encompass businesses throughout Lake, Cook, DuPage, McHenry, Kane and Will counties. This year 22 companies and business organizations have been selected as honorees in nine categories, including two of our neighbors – Aldridge Electric in Libertyville and Riley Construction in Lake Bluff, which are honorees in the Architecture & Construction category. “The program recognizes successful suburban businesses and organizations for their business achievement, growth and community involvement and honors the people who make them successful,” said James Elsener, Manager of Business Development for the Business Ledger. We could not have won this award without the talent and hard work of the entire Sweet Peas Design staff, from left in photo below: Financial Manager Tod Snyder-Grube, Junior Designer Lauren Benditzky, Senior Designer Beth Kweton, me, and Architectural Associate Jennifer Cioni Tarello.

The awards will be presented during a reception on Wednesday, March 16, at Medinah Banquets in Addison. A special section profiling this year’s recipients will be published by The Business Ledger in the April 18 issue. We love you, ABBEY!
