Northwestern University Sorority House

If you think designing a home for a family of four or five is a challenge, imagine designing for a “family” of 70 college-age women, plus a house mom! It was a great experience for us, and the KKG sisters love their professionally finished, cheerful and tech-savvy living room and study room. Flexibility, functionality and durability were the three main goals for this project, as these rooms are used by dozens of women for meetings, studying and just hanging out. Extensive seating capacity was a must-have, as well as loads of task lighting and floor outlets for tech devices. Of course, we had to fly the KKG colors – light blue and sapphire – but we added a cheerful pop of coral, too.  We hope we helped further the KKG goals of “tradition, leadership, academics and friendship.”
