“Irresistibles” Debuts

That’s irresistible! At Sweet Peas Design I hear that expression – or similar words – almost every day as we comb through new and tempting furnishings for our clients. So I decided to share some of our cravable finds through this occasional new feature located in the Eyes on Design category. I hope you enjoy our treasure hunts, too!  In this debut post, I’m featuring Irresistibles from Junior Designer Lauren Benditzky, Studio Manager Lauren Brown, an interior design aficionado, and Senior Designer Angela LaVista.

This fixture by Jeff Zimmerman is stunning! The clustered, hand-blown gray glass “crystals” are organic yet contemporary. But the image doesn’t do it justice – this piece is actually 42 inches in diameter, which increases its dramatic impact.  I would love to select this for one of our clients.

I couldn’t resist this Jonathan Adler desk, either. The contemporary acrylic base with traditional burl wood top team up to create pure, harmonious design gold. The classic yet modern feel would be great in my condo…and by the way, my birthday is in September if anyone’s asking!

These industrialesque stools are just my style. I can picture my two girls perched up there eating breakfast! The dark metal works so well against the distressed wood of the island and picks up the black accents throughout the kitchen. Basically, if a room or just a single furnishing has natural wood, a black and white palette with strong black and white patterns, and industrial elements, I’m zoned-in to the max!

Besides being beautiful, this embroidered Bukhara pillow reminds me of the great opportunity for creativity when given a defined 22- x 20-inch square to create.

Thank you ladies, and keep those ideas coming!
