Feeling Honored

We are all feeling so very honored! At the annual Design Excellence Awards event at the Merchandise Mart last week, we received another award from the  Illinois Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, for Best Bath by a Small Firm 2017.

That makes us “three for three” as we won first-place honors for Best Residential Project Under 3,000 Square Feet 2016 and Best Showcase Space 2015. This award is particularly sweet because we are judged anonymously by our peers from ASID chapters across the country.

Our winning entry is this master bath, which we designed for a remarkable, 5-foot-nothing, 70-plus-year-old widow, who had asked us to update her first solo home – including a gut-rehab of the master bath. We created a classic, feminine style that is all her own. We also custom-sized and positioned many elements for her petite frame in order to make her life easier, safer and more comfortable – the impact of design is so important!

This award is truly a collaborative effort with our wonderful client, whose beautiful art collection was an inspiration for the design, and the entire Sweet Peas Design team. Congratulations to everyone!
